Kweku Anno

Kweku Anno is a Ghanaian engineer. He is the main engineer working with Empower Playgrounds on their play grounds that provide power for use in rural Ghana. Anno has also developed the Biofil Digester which provides a much cheaper way to clear septic tanks that is friendly to the public health.

Anno holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and has worked for such organizations as Volta Aluminium Company. He is currently the managing director of K. A. Anno Engineering Ltd. as well as working with Empower Playgrounds. One of the products of his engineering firm is concrete brick and block making machines he designed.

Anno is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and currently serves as a counselor in the presidency of the Accra Ghana Lartebiokorshie Stake. He previously served as the bishop of the Odorkor 1st Ward. Anno has also worked with Rotary International on programs to repair schools in Ghana.[1]

Anno founded the McCarthy Hill School with his wife, Lydia Anno, and serves as a member of the schools board of directors.[2]
